Few weeks later he was called to his boss’s office, who showed him Wall Street Journal issue. they ran a story he wanted to run – and the number he gave to Lashinsky was a number to the contact for this story.
2. Oprah Winfrey
After achieving a big success in other industries, Oprah decided to take a shot at the movie industry. Her adaptation of Toni Morrison’s “Beloved” flopped never recovering $80 mln invested in its making.
3. Arianna Huffington, co-founder and editor-in-chied of Huffington Post
Tried her luck in politics. Though she withdrew a week before the elections, her name stayed on the ballot. Voting results? She got mere 0.55% of votes.
4. Conan O’Brien
After years of pursuing his dream, Conan finally got a chance to host The Tonight Show. Yet few later NBC gave it back to Jay Leno and Conan’s big moment ended way sooner that he was expecting.
