Using authority is one of the most successful ways to influence others.
What not many people know, however, is that everybody can build authority. You don’t have to be a CEO to be treated like one!
You probably recall toothpaste commercials featuring dentists. If you’re like me, then you were probably getting quite annoyed that every TV commercial looks the same! But it’s because it works.
What these companies are doing, is simply using the authority (of a doctor) to sell toothpaste.
You might be wondering right now whether the men in ads are really doctors. And here is the funny thing – most often, they are not. Yet somehow, advertisers manage to turn an average man into an authority. How?

In this current video about 3 tips to authority, probably you could have added a word about how speaking plays a very important role in establishing authority. Some of the greatest people on this Earth used their gift of speaking establish authority.

In fact, in my previous job our General Manager (who is considered one of the best in the country) had such a monotonous and pitch voice I found it very hard to listen to him (or really treat him like my boss). On the contrary, my latest job – I joined it because of the magical power that the CEO has when he speaks!
