Feeling lost about where your life is heading? Here is why it’s actually good news

We are expected to have a long-term plan for ourselves. Since you’re a kid, you should know who you want to become in the future – and hence choose the right schools and internships to get you there. You should have everything figured out.

I was told the same. And I tried. I really did. But it just didn’t work out…

My “long-term” plans would change after a few years (or even a few months). I started feeling a lot of stress worrying I wouldn’t achieving anything in life if I can’t stick to one solid plan for myself.

I spent countless hours worrying. And many years forcing myself to live as my father, my teachers and many friends have always adviced me.

That was until I discovered that just because so many people live like this, it doesn’t make it the only way. And it definitely doesn’t make it the best way to live.

In fact, after meeting many people who happily ignore the advice to plan their lives ahead, I realized that  NOT having a long-term plan helps me improve my life exponentially. I finally let go of the need to always know where my life is going and I enjoy moments when I just don’t know.
